The Galway Gospel Choir was created in 2001 by Anne-Michel Durham and ThomÄs Burke two friends with an avid love of choral music. They both felt classical music was already represented in Galway's lively choral community but saw an opening for a fresh contemporary ensemble in the form of a Gospel Choir.
Together they decided to found Galway Gospel Choir, a community choir who's members are dedicated to the promotion and performance of Gospel and Contemporary music in Ireland.
The choir continues to be directed by Anne-Michel Durham.
